I have been using mcafee for many years now and I have been very pleased with it.This is probably the cheapest antiviruses software you are able to buy.It offers total protection for any viruses.The software can run quick and full scans on the computer. A big plus you can set it that it automatically runs a scan (in the background) ever so often so you don’t have to keep going in to do one (although I was go in now and again to run a full scan). The software can also do a clean scan that removes and temporary files, deleted/unused files that may be stored on the pc to help free storage and to help you pc running quickly and smoothly.The software also has a handy tool which removes any annoy cookies or trackers from sites.It also helps you with speeding up and slow going programs you may have on your pc, while also downloading any updates that programs may have.I have had no problems using the software and I have never had any issues/problems.This is a excellent antiviruses software that I will happily return to once the year subscription has run out.I normally purchase to have the code sent by post, I decided to op to the email code instead (as you get an additional 3months to your year subscription). This was straight forward, you receive a email with the code (or access it through your account) then you just log into your mcafee account and enter your code. If you have already got an account any days left over from your previous subscription will carry forward.A little tip once you enter the code it will come up with a option to set up an auto renewal on your account (I never do this as it is way more expensive and it is always cheaper to buy the codes) if you click no they will then temp you in with a offer for an additional 3months added to your account, then click yes set up payment (note no payment will be taken at the time), this means you get your 1yrs subscription plus the extra 3months and an additional 3months by Mcafee so you end up getting 18months in total for the price of 12. After set up is complete you just have to remember (and did this straight away so I didn’t forget) is to log into your Mcafee account and switch off the auto renewal function so you won’t get charged at the end of your subscription.

Great antivirus at a bargain price for 15 months membership. Was slightly more difficult to load as I already had McAfee so was more of a renewal (but at a fraction of the renewal cost). Called Total Protection but McAfee still offer additional cover at extra cost but this package is perfectly fine for the average user.

This is a key code activation; you purchase and then a code is provided to activate the software. I had a problem where l couldn’t find the code, apparently it gets downloaded into your games section, don’t know why it’s not a game. Would be much easier if Amazon had sent the code by email. When l found the code it was relatively easy to activate or was it? You insert the code then the software takes over and various images occur on screen with requests to follow, which l did and it started to download and a percentage circle appeared indicating 6% completed it stayed like this for about 15 minutes; so is it downloading? After waiting a few more minutes l decided to open my McAfee app which already had as this new software was to replace McAfee LiveSafe which was soon to be out of date. The app showed my old software but not the new so l decided to log into my account and it showed both the old an new software as installed. Obviously the new software had installed, it would have been much easy if the progress image had shown this. Once in my account l could see an option to select which software I wanted to be active, once l had done this all was ok. So in summary it’s not an easy process installing this software, however once you get through the installation it seems to work ok:
